  • Material Resource Credit 4.1 - Recycled content 10% (post consumer + ½ pre consumer)
  • Material Resource Credit 4.2 - Recycled content 20% (post consumer + ½ pre consumer)
Dimensional Metals, Inc. Cool Metal Roofing can be combined with other job site materials to form a total assembly value to help qualify a project for credit points.

The following is recycled content value of Dimensional Metals materials:

Type of roofing material Total recycled content (%) Post-consumer recycled (%) Pre-consumer recycled (%) Material weight per sqft

CREDIT 7.2 - HEAT ISLAND EFFECT: ROOF
Dimensional Metals, Inc. Cool Metal Roofing can reduce heat islands (thermal gradient differences between developed and undeveloped areas) to minimize impact on microclimate and human and wildlife habitat. Dimensional Metals, Inc. Cool Metal Roofing materials have a Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) equal to or greater than the values in the table below and this must be used on a minimum of 75% of the roof surface.

Roof Type Slope SRI
Low-Sloped Roof < or = 2:12 78
Steep-Sloped Roof > 2:12 29
Refer to DMI Color Chart for individual SRI ratings.
